Bike Bag.

It’s no secret that I like to ride my bike. However, I hate bike bags and I’m too lazy to attach a sack onto the back of my bike.  My newest hip bag is great for wearing on the bike.  It’s such an easy fix to just put your wallet, keys, and iphone in it before setting off on the cycle.  Also, you can take the bag off of it if you like. Wear it like a belt. You’ll love it!

Hello Lovely People.

I hope you are all enjoying a Springy week.

I haven’t posted nearly enough. It’s tough to have two blogs and an etsy store, which had a gangbuster week!  Thank you to Not Martha for the sweet mention of the hip bag.  Everyone seems to want the bag I made for you! I hope to make lots of them for all the stylish people traveling this Spring and Summer.  How fun!

Like the picture above? Me too. My husband took it with a film camera a couple of weeks ago in Portland, Oregon. It’s one of my favorites.

A Little Weekend.

We are going out of town.  It will be a much needed break. I will miss you all. And, I apologize for my lack of posting. It isn’t always easy to keep up with 2 blogs. In fact, it’s sort of ridiculous sometimes.  I try and manage. I do.  This weekend should do it. I’ll be bright eyed and busy tailed on Monday.

Enjoy the photo.  K took it last week in Portland, where we were doing a fun photo shoot!

Inspirations.

I can’t tell you how excited I am to be part of Blog It Forward. It’s a fantastic idea dreamed up by the talented and creative Victoria, otherwise known as Sfgirlbybay

I always enjoy reading what inspires others because it often gives me a little lift too. I’ve met some amazing bloggers throughout this process and am so very thankful for it.  And, thank you in advance for looking.   Did you see the inspirational post on Rearranged Design yesterday? Lovely. Lovely.

I love the sea. Sometimes, the scent strikes me when I leave the house. So salty. So strong. Inspired.

And, perhaps this seems too simple, but I am inspired by the green all around me here in Seattle. Rain and dreariness aside, I love the green.  Sometimes, you find such sweet things in the middle of the forest.

I love the library with its endless promise and soothing silence.

Good homemade food inspires me so much. Life would not be worth living without it.

I am inspired by spots of color in unexpected places or those that brighten an otherwise gray day.

And, finally, my dear dear love inspires me.  It is because of you that I’m not laboring behind a desk somewhere. It is because of you that I’m following my dreams.

For more inspirations, check out Red Glasses’ post on Monday.

Credit for nearly all of these images goes to my dear husband, a very talented photographer.  The photo of the two of us above, however, was taken by Shawn Gust, another extraordinary photographer and dear friend.

Let me introduce you to my favorite bomb. A seed bomb, which can be used to bomb your neighborhood (or another one in need) with wildflowers!

Lining Up

It is quiet here today. It’s quiet enough to shop. That’s what I say.  And, I want to know something. Are you lining up to buy some sweet lady oxfords?

I am.

I am definitely in the market for a hot ladies oxford shoe. I need shoelaces. It’s just feels right to have them right now. What do you think of these?

Both of these hotties are from Anthropologie.

Introducing Billy

Gym Bag, Billy Barrel Purse

I’ve sort of had a fascination with the gym bag since childhood. I used to own a cool barrel shaped gym bag when I was a little freckle faced girl. I used it for ballet class. I loved toting that thing around with me. So cute and stylish in a preppy way.

Feeling nostalgic, I give you the Billy purse. I hope you like it. Perhaps you may open it up and remember how it looked to find your peachy ballet slippers waiting inside for you.

Nice Package.

I am already a big fan of Nice Package.  How could you not like them? Such pretty things. Such clean lines. Such thoughtfulness.  It seemed perfect when I looked at their site this morning and found this lovely Paris DIY inspiration kit.  I love Paris and I’ve been thinking a lot about it lately. Perhaps I did leave my heart there, after all?

Yellow. Wear it.

I have a yellow purse. I bought it years ago from Marimeko. I love that purse, but it’s gotten a bit aged and faded. I miss its former glory. I thought you might like a yellow purse too. So I made you one. I hope you like it. I hand-embroidered a cute circle on it and lined it with sweet silvery polka dots.
