Did you have a good weekend? I hope you did.
Would it be mean of me to talk about my upcoming vacation? I hope not. I’m not a mean person. Well, there was one time in particular that I was pretty mean. It involved a roadtrip and a rest stop, but my dear friend D assures me she has long ago forgiven me. So, generally speaking, I think it is fair to discuss my upcoming break from reality.
You can tell I need it after such sogginess over the weekend.
So we’re off to Mexico in just a few days. It’s sort of a long-awaited honeymoon. However, K’s parents will be there making it less of a honeymoon and more of a familial getaway. Either way, I look forward to it.
I’ll be taking this beachy bag with me, of course. This one too– for my passport. And for reading, I found this book in a thrift store.
What are your plans this week? If you plan on shopping, the last day to purchase from the shop is Tuesday, January 19th. Otherwise, you will have to wait until February 1st for all your Valentine’s Day gifts!
It’s officially Monday. It’s pouring down rain. That’s o.k. I’m trying to wake up and pull through it.
The weekend was fantastic. K took this picture during a photo shoot on Saturday at Volunteer Park. Isn’t it lovely? I love the colors. I love the mood. Makes me feel like Spring is possible.

That’s great, but wouldn’t it be also really lovely if you showed up with something a bit more interesting. Say, a fancy cheese on a lovely plate?

I was getting a lot of inquiries from folks who were traveling by bike, backpacking, or just going to far off lands. So jealous. Putting that jealousy aside, however, I decided to create a hip purse that’s designed to keep your passport, iphone, or special bits close to you. For your comfort, you can move it around or remove the bag completely and wear it as a belt. Hot.

I firmly believe that there are just a few things that NEVER go out of style. 1.) polka dots, 2.) plaid, and 3.) seersucker. Feel free to debate me on this point. But, in the meantime, consider this new bag for the beach, the market, or a trip to your favorite bookstore? I think you will like it. I embroidered a little red heart on it just for you.

I’ve been tooling away for a while now on my Spring line.
I know. I know.
It’s hard to think about Spring right now, but it’s absolutely necessary. For me, New Years always make Spring seem possible. The Audrey purse, however, is good for anytime. Personally, I love wearing white or cream in the winter when everything is gray and gloomy outside.
